"Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning"

What is Child-Centred Play Therapy?

Child-Centred Play Therapy is a specialised, evidence-based, and developmentally appropriate form of therapy for children aged 3 to 12 years. Through play, children are supported to explore their emotions, express themselves, build confidence, and work through challenges in a safe, supportive environment.

Barrenjoey Play Therapy offers both clinic-based and outreach services, supporting private-paying families and NDIS-funded participants.

Hi, I am Monie, and a Registered Play Therapist with a Master’s degree in Child Play Therapy from Deakin University.

I feel incredibly fortunate to work with children and support them as they grow, develop confidence, and become the best versions of themselves. It is a privilege to help children make sense of their feelings, thoughts, and life experiences through evidence-based therapeutic approaches, using their most natural language: play.
